Are car leasing and contract hire the same thing?
Buying a new car is a big decision, especially now when times are hard and money is tight. There is a seemingly neverending supply of vehicles to choose from, not to mention all the different methods of payment. Of course you want to know you’re always getting the best deal, but sometimes it can be hard to negotiate the minefield that is the car market, and sort the good deals from the bad.
Because buying a car doesn’t have to be about paying all that money at once and settling for whichever is the best car you can afford. There are other options like leasing or contract hire, which usually mean you can get a better car for less money. So if you always fancied a Mercedes but didn’t think you’d ever be able to afford it, Mercedes car leasing could mean that you could walk away with your dream car right away, and pay it off in affordable instalments over an agreed period.
But finding the cheapest deals is not always that easy. Leasing companies offer loads of different options and it’s important to know exactly what you’re looking for to get the most out of your contract. A straightforward lease deal takes the total cost of the car, taking your projected mileage and usage into consideration, and splits it into equal monthly payments. At the end of the lease period, once the total cost of the car has been paid, ownership of the car usually transfers to the customer. Whether your dream car is that Mercedes, an Audi or a BMW, car leasing gives you a wider choice of vehicles that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to afford outright.
The alternative to leasing is to enter a contract hire arrangement. The main difference between contract hire and leasing is that the customer does not own the vehicle at any point but insead pays a fixed monthly hire fee, again calculated from the total worth of the car, the estimated future cost, and projected mileage. This option is often preferred by those looking for commercial vehicles as most deals have servicing and maintenance costs included in the monthly fee, so there’s no danger of getting hit with large bills if anything goes wrong. At the end of the contract agreement ownership does not pass to the customer but there is the option of renewing the contract and upgrading to a newer model, another reason this is the perfect option for people looking for commercial cars or vans. Some private owners might rather have a car they can call their own but there are personal contract hire deals available, as well as contract purchase deals. With contract purchase you have until the contract ends to decide whether or not to keep the car, for a previously agreed cost based on the car’s value for resale.
WVO Filter VS WVO Centrifuge
First what are these two types of filtering systems?
WVO (waste vegetable oil) centrifuge:
A centrifuge is a piece of equipment, generally driven by a motor that puts WVO in rotation around a fixed axis, applying a force perpendicular to the axis. The oil entrifuge works using the sedimentation principle, where the centripetal acceleration is used to evenly distribute substances (WVO) of greater and lesser density. Traditional centrifuges use an electric motor to spin a “bowl” at high RPM and create a force like gravity but up to 3000 times the force of gravity. This speeds up particulate and water separation enormously. Separation levels that might take months using only gravity take less than a minute in a centrifuge. And most industrial centrifuges are continuous so dirty WVO can be fed in and clean/dry WVO fuel exits. accumulatMost centrifuges must be stopped to remove the contaminants but some systems are available that allow automated cleaning without stopping the centrifuge.
WVO (waste vegetable oil) Filter:
A gravity or pressure filtration system, the WVO is simply poured into a filter bag placed over a container into which the WVO is collected. These filter bags come in different microns or levels of filtering ability to fit your needs.
Which is better well it all comes down to how much WVO you want to process, how much time you have to spend processing how much money do you want to spend and how hard do you want to work.
With WVO Filter system Oil will run through a 100 micron filter bag at 2-5 gallons per minute however, if the oil is dirty or just creamy the flow rate will deteriorate rapidly.Pre heating the oil helps as does larger and longer filter bags. My advice is to only use filter bags after settling. Which means time waiting for the oil to settle. Cartridge WVO filters, tee strainers ECT, should be used only with heated oil or heating of the filter.Waxy particles in cool oil quickly clog cartridge filters and no amount of pressure will resolve this issue. Any mechanical cartridge filter will require an amount of pressure to work, finding an appropriate pump, plumbing and pressure relief system can be difficult and large spills are possible.
With WVO Centrifuge “Forced Settling” can clean WVO to sub micron levels as well as removing heavier liquid contaminants such as water. If you are looking at having to deal with hundreds of gallons or more, a centrifuge is your only solution. A WVO centrifuge is required to remove solid and liquid contaminants from the WVO regardless of size. Centrifuges have proven to be quite efficient in the cleaning of waste vegetable oil and reducing the free fatty acids in the pre processing of Biodiesel. They also have proven to remove glycerin after the processing. Contaminant particles as small as 1/10th of 1 micron are removed, all without the use of a disposable costly filter element. There is simply no better way to make quality biodiesel quickly. What takes many hours for gravity to separate down; a centrifuge can separate instantly in seconds.
Why You Need to Buy a New Car
Cars are part of everyone's life; people cannot get anywhere without driving a car, but as cars progress they start to get a lot more expensive then they usually would be as the technology gets piled in. But some people argue that new cars are just not as strong as old ones used to be. So let us take a brief look at the benefits of owning both a new car and an older model
New Car Benefits
1) The vehicle has a lot more technology built on board and you will get a lot more comfortable drive out of it, things such as cruise control, air conditioning and ICE are just regular in cars these days.
2) When you decide to buy a new vehicle, the great thing is that you are probably 99.9% sure that the car will not break down in its first three years.
3) New cars tend to have a lot more space then ancient models and are built a lot deeper.
Benefits of Older Cars
1) There core engines are a lot stronger and are built to last much more, vehicles in the olden days used to be created to last decades, now it is all about the money and new cars are just created to last a few years so you have to buy another.
2) They cost a lot less to fix whn they do break down, unless you buy a really expensive model.
3) They cost a lot less to purchase. If your budget is not very high then going for a reliable used vehicle would be the best choice for you.
Whichever path you ultimatley decide to choose, you should be sure to read the review and motoring news sections carefully.

TIS Rims – All You Will Can’t Do Without To Steps Up Your Street Cred
If you’re an urban street ride tuner, you can take your ride to new heights with TIS Chrome Wheels, and that’s no joke. The wheels and rims offered by TIS make a statement right out of the box. And they seem to be the first to proudly display their wheel size right on the center of the wheel or rim’s hub. This way, everybody’ll know what you’re rolling with. So, if you’re looking to increase your ride’s street cred, TIS wheels and TIS rims may be the way to go.
Be brave and go big. If you’re afraid of anything bigger than a 16 inch wheel for a car, then TIS rims probably aren’t for you. TIS begins with the now-classic 20 inch “dubs” and grows up from there, right on down the road to 26 inch wheel heaven, many of which you can see on an urban-tuned SUV of today.
Move on, roll on. If you’re looking for major differences between wheels and rims, well.there really isn’t much, except for purely engineering-type details. But, in the urban tuner world you don’t usually refer to the car’s rollers as anything but “rims.” And if you’re overheard calling your dubs “wheels,” you may as well cancel your street tuner club membership, because you’ll be laughed out of it if you don’t.
You get out what you put in. Steel was the metal of choice in Custom Wheels for years and years. It was pretty long-lasting and durable and it didn’t tend to rust out in a couple of years, which made it ideal for a car’s road-wear. Steel could be heavy, though, and that extra weight added up on a car. But, the metal made for a good middle-of-the-road material for a wheel.
Put on your Sunday best. Nowadays, if a rim maker isn’t using aluminum or some other metal alloy, it’s not really a serious player in the aftermarket tuner world. Aluminum has come to dominate because it’s not only lighter, but the color and finishes available when using an alloy are far more varied than what can be done in steel. In fact, steel is mainly the material of choice on entry-level, budget-minded production vehicles and such.
Rust won’t keep us together. Bolting on a new set of rims is a snap. Most the time, the four or five bolts that come with them go right onto the hub and that’s about it. Really big wheels or rims may require a few more than five, though TIS wheels start out with four or five of them.
Don’t compromise on looks. TIS wheels and TIS rims never compromise on looks or performance and durability. They say something about your ride almost from the minute you bolt them on. This is due in large part to all those styles and colors in the wheels in their lineup. Even a 1965 AMC Rambler can look a bit better-looking with the addition of a set of these wheels or rims. And it might just fool a few people into thinking it’s been customized a little.
Putting some air into it. TIS Wheels are purpose-built with the urban street ride tuner in mind, so it’s not difficult at all to take your ride to new heights with TIS rims or TIS wheels. For more information, check out our site http://www.hubcap-tire-wheel.com/.
Contract Hire Your Fleet And Save Money
In the current global recession crisis, the largest proportion of the public are all feeling a little bit nervous as to what tomorrow will hold. Those amongst us who are lucky enough to have jobs may have them whipped from underneath our feet at the drop of a hat. Those of us who don’t have jobs are left wondering if we will ever be given the opportunity to work again. Regardless of your current monetary situation; the current economical climate has got everybody a little bit on edge.
A large proportion of people have decided to start their own business as a way of getting back into the workforce without relying on financially-stricken companies employing them. This, in its basic essence, is a fantastic idea, especially if you have a trade profession or a particularly detailed and fool-proof business plan. The one of the majordrawbacks is the initial outlay that can often make very negative impacts on the new business-person’s balance sheet. One of the largest proportions of this outlay is often the purchasing of a fleet of vehicles.
Now, I may have no sure fire way to make sure your business succeeds, but I can offer a valuable tip into ensuring that your initial earnings are not going to be swallowed up by paying for vehicles. I have two words that may be of great interest to you: Contract Hire.
Contract Hire is a flexible system of financing that allows you to hire the vehicles you desire over a pre-arranged period of time. The businesses that offer these services often make concessions for new businesses and will set up payment rates that are more realistic to your financial capabilities. With options such as buying the vehicles when your accounts will allow it, mean that Contract Hire is a valuable system for giving you a leg up into the world of business and only asking for larger payments when you and your financiers are completely comfortable with it.
For anyone looking into starting their own business and require anything from one car to a fleet of light commercial vehicles; Contract Hire is a great way of getting started.

Volvo S80 - James Bond's Next Car?
Let’s make no bones about this; Volvo are never likely to produce a vehicle that will set hearts fluttering with excitement and anticipation. It is virtually impossible to imagine a James Bond film in the not-too-distant future where Q shows 007 to his new gadget-laden Volvo Diesel Estate. It is almost laughable to imagine a Volvo in any cinematic context other than possibly a dire independent Swedish film concerned primarily with the difficulties of livestock farming during Scandinavian winters. The Volvo range has never really appealed to me in a sensory manner; by which I mean I have never been able to picture myself getting excited by one, let alone sitting in one. If you find yourself parting with impressively large sums of money for a vehicle, you want it to enflame your ardour, set your pulse running and maybe even give you a shudder every time you start the engine. It never seemed remotely possible for the Volvo to do this…until they unleashed the Volvo S80.
The Volvo S80 is something quite contrary compared to what I was expecting when tasked with this article; I was expecting something dowdier, less elegant and considerably chunkier. What I was given was an example of aesthetic and engineering perfection.
The Volvo S80, when furnished with the full luxury specification, isn’t a cheap vehicle by any stretch of the imagination. At slightly less than £40,000 if it wasn’t a Very good car it would have to have been carved from Mount Olympus by naked, voluptuous maidens, overseen by Zeus himself. As it stands, it is an extraordinary vehicle that on initial impressions seems to outshine the various competitor models; the Volkswagen Phaeton and the Honda Legend included. There is, however, one competitor that would probably have something to say about this Swedish upstart. I speak of the Jaguar XF.
A fully spec-ed Jaguar XF is around £15,000 more expensive than its Volvo counterpart, which is obviously going to push more people toward the S80, but Jaguars are infinitely cooler and more desirable than any Volvo ever created…and who can put a price on that? The basic model Jaguar XF is a few grand less than the fully spec-ed S80 and I can’t help but think that because of the social kudos and Jaguar legacy, the buying public are going to gravitate towards the Jag.
The Volvo S80 does make a very good case for itself though. It has one of the most luxurious interiors I have ever had the pleasure of planting my bottom in and all the gadgets James Bond could ever want (barring missile launcher and ejector seat, naturally), including collision detectors, infra-red windscreen and an outstanding stereo system, which outperforms my rather expensive home set-up by a country mile.
The engines are slightly disappointing in comparison to others available in the similar price bracket…and when I say “slightly”, I mean devastatingly. The 2.0 Litre petrol engine does 0-60 in an almost embarrassing 11 seconds, which is completely unacceptable for a car of this price point and potential customer demographic. This car is going to be used by executives who probably have important meetings to attend, deals to seal and the S80’s acceleration will probably hold them up exponentially. Realistically you would expect the 0-60 time to be more than half of what it is. When you finally achieve 60mph, things get better: the engine is smooth, quiet and feels pretty impressive (making it an excellent car choice for extended motorway driving). It’s just a massive disappointment that it takes what feels like a lifetime to get to a respectable speed.
In summary, the Volvo S80 feels and looks like an Executive’s Car, magnificently appointed with all the comfort and equipment to satiate any driver’s whims. What it does lack is the engineering fireworks to match the aesthetic promise.
I like the Volvo S80, but I wanted to love it.
The New Volkswagen Golf MkVI – Supercharged, Turbocharged And Ready To Roll
It is almost impossible to imagine the world without certain things in it. Try to imagine a world when the Rolling Stones aren’t embarking on another world tour despite having the combined age of the Methuselah Tree, or a year without a Simon Cowell produced talent show on television. It’s impossible isn’t it? Certain objects/people/events are ingrained on our national conscience and if you were to take them away, everything would just seem…well…unusual I guess. This is exactly how I feel about the Volkswagen Golf.
I have a long history with the VW Golf, as my Grandfather owner one in my formative years and ferried me and my brother around in it quite a lot. I have very fond memories of this car which have remained with me right into my adulthood. On the surface though, the VW Golf isn’t exactly breathtaking, it’s boxy, cumbersome and not to mention quite a bit more expensive than most of its competition. So exactly where the does this abiding love affair with the VW Golf stem from and how has it endured for so long?
It was over 35 years ago when the Volkswagen Golf first made its appearance and it has been a consistently popular seller ever since. The evolution of the VW Golf has been a joy to witness over the decades, as the car has gone from looking like it was designed by an artistically-challenged child, to the sleek, rounded and aesthetically pleasing models we see today. Its popularity stems from its honesty and it reserve; two traits the British public traditionally seem to lap up in their people and consumer products. The VW Golf doesn’t try to be flashy, or gimmick-ridden, but it does everything it’s supposed to with elegance and panache. Considering it is a German car, it is very British.
The Brand New Volkswagen Golf Mark VI comes with a choice of four petrol engines and three diesel engines. My personal pick of the bunch is the twin-charged 1.4Litre Petrol which produces 160Bhp which is phenomenal for a car of this relatively small size. Driving this car is unlike the experience of the previous model Golf (the Mark V), as it adds an element that its predecessor was lacking slightly; joy. Other than the GTi models, the Golf has never been considered anything more than a comfortable drive. It has been described as safe, comfortable, economic and ecological but never fun or joyous. The supercharged and turbocharged 1.4 litre engine feels raw, edgy and above all, powerful. All of a sudden the VW Golf seems al lot less British after all.
Essentially, the Volkswagen Golf Mk VI has retained everything that the consuming public loved about the car since its initial inception, but they have been treated to a few added extras now. The Golf is still safe, comfortable, economical and ecological, but now it has the capability to force your head back into the headrest and leave you with a silly schoolboy grin on your face. Although the Golf has evolved into the consummate city car, if you take the new Golf out onto country lanes, you will see why I can say with confidence that this is the most impressive the Golf has ever been.

KMC Rims Bring Out Style Like No One Else
The car markets have never been more competitive. And as far as aftermarket wheels and rims go, it’s an exciting time to be in the industry. Given both those issues, KMC Custom Wheels bring it on when it comes to matching up against other manufacturers out on these streets, these days. Wheels are some of the first things people see when they think of a car, or of customizing that car. It may not be a lot of customizing, but they still want something distinctive-looking. This is where KMC wheels and KMC rims have the advantage. They turn a vanilla-looking ride into something with a bit of spice and flair in no time at all.
Supersize Me! A wheel set’s size usually depends on the purpose the wheel set is going to be used for. Serious street performance types run from 16 to 19 inches, at the top range. Urban size wheels, though, can go from about 20-inch “dub” type rolling metal all the way up past 26 inches. KMC Wheel Company supplies wheels for every need in those ranges.
Rims or No Rims? In reality, there’s actually no difference in a wheel and a rim, other than that a wheel’s spokes, if it has them, could sit more flush to the lip or flange of the wheel (the part where the tire seals to the rim). “Rims,” though, convey real street credibility when it comes to making a car a piece of street art, especially when the wheels or rims approach 20 inches or more in diameter.
Moving Sheetmetal. Because cars have been around practically forever, we’ve got a lot of experience in the making of Rims for them. Mostly, in the past, they were made of steel. That metal could be heavy, but it was also long-lasting and you could actually hammer it back into shape, just a little, if it were dented. Rolling weight, though, hurts a car’s speed.
Stepping Up to Alloys. Any wheel worth its performance or appearance salt will be made of one sort of alloy or another, these days. Alloy wheels are lighter, and reduce rolling resistance, which helps a car’s speed. Also, they help reduce fuel consumption because the car has less weight to pull. But if you break one, you can usually forget about having it repaired. There are even titanium or magnesium automobile wheels these days, though they’re more expensive than aluminum.
Bolt it Down. Wheels have different bolt requirements and patterns. And a wheel is affixed to an axle through its hub. The number of bolts that a wheel may need depends on what the wheel is going to be required to do or the stresses it’s going to have to stand up to. Usually, for street machines, four or five bolts are all you’ll see. KMC Wheel Company has a number of models that have this, and several that might use more, if a special purpose is required.
We All Have to do Something. KMC products are manufactured specifically to take your pedestrian-looking car and turn it into something beautiful. Many of them are also performance-oriented. This also helps to make them speedier. Urban wheel sets are the rage, and they can take your car to a whole new level.
Roll On. Whether you want a hot-looking street machine that goes fast, or a hot-looking street machine that isn’t meant for a bit of street racing, KMC Chrome Wheels deliver the goods. They come in all sorts of sizes, colors and finishes, too. And all of them will definitely help your car make a statement. For more information, check out our site http://www.hubcap-tire-wheel.com/.
