The most well known is probably the brilliant Route 66, but you will not have any problem finding lots more like it.There are some incredible highways crossing each and every way across the country so traveling long distances is easy really. Camper van. Picking up one of these beasts in America is pretty easy as there are so many around. Equally, there will always be a buyer whereever you end up as well. This method is ideal if you are travelling as a group as there will be plenty of room for everyone. It’s also great if you’ve got a tight budget as you can cook your own food in the van and also spend the night in it as well

Convertible. There is nothing more iconic than cruising across down those long roads with the top down and the wind in your hair. American people love their convertibles and so there are an incredible variety to take your pick from.The older convertibles have more character but are maybe not as reliable. You might also want to consider renting one. This is what a lot of people do on their fly drive vacations  All you need now is a model  girlfriend/boyfriend and some country and western on the radio to make your trip complete

Motorbike. Traveling around on two wheels is one way to put some fun into your trip, especially if you’re bike is big and the sun is out. This truly is the ultimate way to travel across the states and experience all that the American scenery and culture has to offer. When it comes to choice of bike, it really has to be a Harley Davidson, which again is an American institution that can be bought or rented from pretty much anywhere. If you are going to be using this method of transport, make sure you have the right protective gear as you don’t want to ruin your trip by getting hurt
