How the Scrappage Scheme Made Me Drive a Great Car
i am at present 24 years old and have been driving old bangers for almost 8 years, my cars always make me problems, they are either shaky when i drive or just entirely break down on me when i am trying to go someone. To be fair i have in all likelihood become one of the most embarrassing customers of the aa, i am always calling them out to toe my vehicle.
I have literally been left with old cars for one simple reason. I simply cannot afford to buy a new one, I know all my friends get their cars on finance, but that is just something I do not want to do. I do not really own any credit cards as I am so afraid of getting myself into debt.
But things looked a lot better when authorities announced that they would be introducing a new scrappage scheme, where I could get 2000 off of a new car if I handed my old one in. As soon as the scheme came into action I visited my local garage and because I had been saving my money for a few months, I was able to hand my old car in and get a new decent one.
I chose to get a ford focus; I signed all the necessary paper work and handed my keys over. The garage owner then said you are free to drive away. My drive back home was absolutely amazing; it honestly felt like the car was hovering over the road as I couldnt feel any bumps or anything.
The scrappage scheme has literally changed my life and I recommend it to anyone that is looking to purchase new cars.
