BMW in combination with Mille Miglia stands for triumphs for eternity
The name says it all, and it has a legendary resonance: Mille Miglia. From its inception, this road trial covering 1,000 miles was considered the ultimate challenge for drivers and cars alike. Those who stayed the course in the Mille Miglia proved not only their competitiveness in motor sports but also their automotive engineering prowess.
Between 1927 and 1957, the Mille Miglia was staged 24 times in northern Italy. It was a spectacular event for many thousands of motor sport fans and a perfect stage for race drivers such as Tazio Nuvolari, Stirling Moss, Rudolf Caracciola, Juan Manuel Fangio and Fritz Huschke von Hanstein. But the Mille Miglia was also a crucial trial of strength for car manufacturers. It celebrated its revival in 1977 and has kept alive the spirit of classic car racing ever since. In 1925 four young men from Brescia, as wealthy as they were enthusiastic about motor racing, had resolved to turn their home town into a hub of motor sports. Two years later they saw their plans come to fruition. Henceforth, the start and finish line in Brescia would take on a carnival atmosphere, with the drivers and their automobiles enthusiastically celebrated by the numerous spectators who flocked there.
Each year racing fever spread throughout the land and not only because the cars that dominated the event were initially of Italian manufacture.
With classic car enthusiasts celebrated its revival in 1977 and, as a reliability trial for historic vehicles, has kept alive the spirit of classic car racing ever since. Nowhere other than between Brescia and Rome is the history of motor sport and automotive engineering celebrated so intensely and impressively. The Mille Miglia storica pays homage to the design engineers and their creations, which continue to inspire professionals and aficionados to this day.

BMW remains to grow in China
Published by: iCar Automotive News
The German car brands still keep to grow, though the automotive world in general is in recess. But the German car producer is doing well in other countries than Germany too. In the first quarter of 2009, BMW Group continued to register growth in the Chinese Mainland market with a total of 16,580 BMW and MINI cars delivered to the customers, representing 13.over the same periode last year eight percent growth.yr.: 14,574 units). Automotive expectations in the east are good, and Chinese people still are buying cars. But just ten percent of the Chinese public is driving or owning a car. One could predict the environmental issues if all Chinese own one or two cars. Luckily the Chinese government is trying to get people to buy only clean cars and reward it with half the taxes as would be payed normally.
Sales of the BMW brand automobiles in the Chinese Mainland increased by 14.four percent to 15,850 units, which includes 8,402 units BMW 3 Series and 5 Series cars are build in China. Sales of MINI cars rose by 1% in the Chinese Mainland to 730 units in the first quarter of 2009 (prev.yr.: 723 units).
In the whole Region China markets combining Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, the BMW Group delivered a total of 18,244 BMW and MINI brand automobiles in the first quarter, a year-on-year increase of 5.4% (prev.yr.:
17,317).
“Considering the current global difficult times, the Chinese auto market continues to be very resilient and recently showed signs of recovering the growth path. We achieved an enormous growth again for BMW and MINI vehicles sales for the first quarter, and relatively strong growth of 20.Four percent in the third month. Our new generation 7 Series will be one of the really good contributors to our sales throughout 2009 in China” said Dr. Christoph Stark, President and CEO of BMW Group Region China.

Why New Cars are Not Created to Last and the Reason You Should Consider Leasing
In the 21st century cars are a must, if you are solely relying on public transport then be prepared for a stressful journey. People just want to have the best cars around and they end up setting them back a huge amount.
But is it worth the hassle of buying a new car these days? Let as have a look at why I just do not like this.
1.) The new car models have been manufactured not to last very long so you have to go out and buy a new one.
2.) Even if the cars were built to last people are spread out all over the country, so basically people cover a lot more miles than they used to in the old days.
3.) Service parts for a vehicle cost a fortune.
I think back to when I first got my drivers licence, it was an amazing time, but I was driving a car that had been built in 1985 and done a huge amount of miles but never let me down. These days I like to purchase newer cars but they always end up breaking.
Most people decide to purchase their vehicles on finance so by the time they pay them off the car would be dead anyway and then they would have to go and buy a new one, the manufacturers are very clever. So in my opinion car leasing is probably one of the best options you pay probably less than you would as a monthly rate for finance, then when your term is up you hand the car back and get a brand new one, plus avoiding all of the cost of repairs and break downs.
Great Mercedes car leasing or BMW car leasing.
Used BMW Motorcycle Parts How To Choose Piece by Piece
The first motorcycles were in fact just simply motorized bicycles that had engines attached to bike frames. Over the years they have developed into very complicated machines. Technology has developped and grown to increase speed, control, fuel economy and comfort. If you own a BMW motorcycle for an extended period of time, you are going to need BMW motorcycle parts, at some point. You can go to a BMW garage or buy new parts but used BMW motorcycle parts are often just as good and are available at a much better price. All parts have their own purposes, but nothing works without the parts around them.
A Small Lesson in Motorcycle Anatomy
The motorcycle chassis
This is one of the most important motorcycle parts. It includes the frame, suspension and front forks. The frame is typically made from welded steel or aluminum struts with the rear suspension included as an integral component. Expensive frames can even be constructed from carbon fiber or titanium. The frame includes the head tube that holds the pivoting front fork.
Suspension
The front suspension is often built into the front fork, but the rear suspension is optional. Chopper motorcycles usually forgo the rear suspension and use a rigid frame instead. The rear suspension can consist of several arrangements, including dual shocks, traditional mono-shock suspensions or soft-tail style suspensions. The front fork holds the front wheel and allows the rider to steer. Of all the motorcycle parts, the front fork is the most critical part for steering.
Other motorcycle parts
- the engine (vertical single, vertical twin, V-twin, opposed twin, in-line triple and in-line four)
- transmission (five or six forward gears, reverse gear)
- tires
- brakes (drum or disc based, with disc brakes being the most common on larger motorcycles)
- final drive (chain drive, belt drives or shaft drive)
- instruments (speedometers, odometers, tachometers and fuel gauges)
There are special companies that deal only in new or used BMW motorcycle parts, they are solely focused on the BMW brand. This means these kind of companies will probably be able to help you if you are looking for a special part. They usually can deliver quick and for a good price because they often have new and used parts right off the shelf.
Buying At Motorcycle salvage yards
If you want to save as much money as you can a real good option is a motorcycle salvage yard. There are many of these large businesses in the country and in fact all over the world, but its is best to build a relationschip with your local salvage yard. If they know you and they know what you are looking for , they can contact you if they have used BMW motorcycle parts they think will fit your bike.
Just remember that if you are buying used parts you will need to put a bit more effort into checking the parts before you buy them. You need to make sure a part is not damaged or deformed. You should be able to find great bargins that are exactly what you are looking for if you put just that little bit of time and effort into looking for the right used BMW motorcycle parts.
Frank Strider loves to talk about motorbikes and all the things related to it. Visit his website MotorBikePlace.com if you want to find out more about motorcycle salvage or about BMW motorcycle clothing for example.
BMW 7 Series. The latest episode
The latest release by BMW in its very popular seven series seems to be the best to date – it’s truly way ahead of the pack in its class and is a luxury car with a capital “L” – in every sense of the word.
Power
Under the hood is bigger and better than any previous effort in the seven series – the 750iL boasts a mighty 400 horsepower (which is more than 40 more horses than before) and can rocket from zero to sixty in less than five seconds. Although the miles per gallon of the new 4.4 liter V8 engine are a bit modest in terms of conservation (15 city and 23 highway), they are still competitive among the big boys in the luxury class.
Comfort
The new 750iL is big in terms of power, but the older versions often came under a lot of criticism when it came to the interior. Larger bodied individuals often passed up previous cars in the seven series even though the power and handling were second to none, simply because they didn’t feel there was enough room for them in the cockpit.Yet another complaint about the previous model was that there was no seat adjustments to easily accomodate larger individuals.
The new 750iL means to change all the criticisms of its interior by making the cab much roomier in terms of both head and leg room, and they’ve also reconfigured the placement of all of the cars instruments to make the overall driving experience more comfortable for everyone who gets inside.
BMW got the interior spot on with ergonomic design for comfort and ease of use.
Behind the Wheel
Incredible, almost space age options take the driving experience and the luxury car’s handling to unimaginable new levels. As ever the number of choices becomes more dream world like with each generation: night vision, side view cameras, rear wheel drive, and pedestrian detection.
The new 750iL also has greatly improved control with individually operating electronic dampers as well as anti-roll technology. The benefits of advanced electronics is that the car is become evident in the wet where the big 7 is up for the challenge.
BMW has always been a force to be reckoned with in the world of luxury cars, but even they seem to have outdone themselves with the new 750iL.This is a car that will make most owners proud of its looks and its dynamics. Certainly many will not mind the eighty thousand dollar tag.

Why Buy Sports Cars
Sports cars are performance automobiles that provide driving satisfaction and pleasure. They allow a person to engage in the absolute driving experience and be in touch directly with the motorway, as diametrically as possible.
In the automobile industry where economy vehicles, “family sedans” and SUV’s dominate the field, sports cars definitely stand out.
These types of cars, for the able and skilled drivers, can give excellent performance on the road. Not all drivers are equally skilled, but to individuals who are capable of feeling and understanding the faint messages of these vehicles, they can indulge in a rewarding and satisfying driving experience since sports cars are intended to be driven fairly fast.
Because of this driving pleasure, many people likes to buy a sports car. This is just one of the many reasons why people like these automobiles. Other reasons include:
1. Appearance. The aerodynamic design of a sports car makes it attractive to car fans. However when you are making an vehicle investment, this should not be the principal or only reason to purchase that vehicle. Functionality should be the base consideration even though style will also enter into your decision.
2. Driving characteristics. While other vehicles are mainly designed for affordability, sports cars gives emphasis on performance and execution. The trait and condition of driving a sports car is an experience unmatched.
Keeping in mind their very discriminating car drivers, sports cars easily out perform the road execution of other automobiles. Drivers can easily accelerate when required, hug turns, and have a certain driving management not provided by most vehicles.
3. Fun plus excitement. The driving qualities of a sports car are providing excitement and thrill.
One can spend hours talking about pleasurable experiences such as curve hugging while not taking one’s foot off the accelerator or zooming past slow moving traffic yet remaining in full control or talk about the feeling of gratification , and knowing that one is driving a sports car with perfect engineering.
4. Duration and resale value. Each new vehicle depreciates in value instantly when it is driven. However, sports cars will become more valuable as time passes, because of their above-mentioned qualities and are expected to become potential classics that will retain their value.
One does not need to make their car choice a statement, although if one chooses, the opportunity is right there. Owning a sports vehicle will make a statement about the owner’s personality.
BMW has always produced quality sports cars especially their motorsport editions such as the BMW M3 Coup and as sports cars enthusiasts BMW owners like to modify their BMW car.

Sports Car Styling Tips
Are you planning to improve the aesthetic appearance of your car? Want to get that sporty and sleek look? Then here are some pointers that will help you dress up your car.
What accessories to choose from
When considering what options of setup you will do to your car, you should first keep in mind that there are a many different products being sold out there which claim better performance and economical. But the reality is there are some good ones and many of bad ones. Be choosy when searching for car accessories and remember it is not a bad idea to look at the established brands before considering untested brands.
The wheels
One of the initial things that a car enthusiast does when dressing up a car is to replace the existing wheels with custom made ones. But this is not just for looks since performance wheels and tires also enhance a car’s handling and performance. Selecting between tall wheels and short ones will be the next step. Bigger wheels get noticed more and increase the look of a car dramatically. Smaller wheels on the other hand have that retro look.
Racing Stickers
Applying sticker art designs on the hood or the other parts of the car body is one of the cheapest ways to alter and customize your car. Sticker designs range from popular performance parts logos of manufacturers as well as those designed for rally and indy races. If you are capable of making your own stickers, it is important to get permission for copying a design as it may be copyrighted. If you are planning to put stickers on the hood, choose the kind that will not be damaged by the heat of the engine. Metallic foil stickers are ideal for car hoods.
Lowering Springs
Lowering your car makes your car more stable when turning and giving it a sporty look. Cars are not the only ones that have lowering kits, so if you have a pickup truck, chances are, there is a lowering kit made for your vehicle. Although having a lower ride means improved handling, the trade off is poor ride quality since the car springs are stiffer and shorter.
These are some of the things that you can do to improve the look and stance of your sports car. Your car is a represents you so naturally you want it to look appealing. Of course, having a good looking car also means spending some serious cash. If this is your passion, then paying more will not be a problem for you.

Get Your Car Featured in Magazine
Featuring your car in Car Magazines can have many benefits for any Car Owners.
First, it will give a good documentation of your modified Car for your effort and secondly, it
will get you a good exposure for your car if you are thinking of selling it.
However, since there are millions of cars out there on the road, how can one attract
the attention of Car Magazine to feature your modified car?
Here are some tips and guides on How to Feature your car in magazines by a BMW car owner whose BMW M3 Tuning was featured in 3 Car Magazines.
1. BE the FIRST (NEWS SELLS)
Car magazines works like newspapers, they need news to sell more magazines, hence to make the magazines notice you, you need to make and create news for them. If your car has the first new parts and accessories from a car tuner (a new prototype), that would be ideal as it will create news and curiosity and attention of readers.
2. BE DIFFERENT: CREATE a whole special car:
Your best bet is to start off with your mind to create something unique but your own liking and taste. You don’t want to create a special car only to hate it after the modifications. People want to see something extra ordinary. “Specials” always catches attention. But remember to do with good taste otherwise it will only attract negative feedback. Be creative, don’t limit yourself to parts from one car tuner, you may mix and match with parts and accessories or even from other makes of car tuners.
3. CUSTOMISED MODIFICATIONS: ATTENTION TO DETAIL:
Custom modifications attracts attention, it shows creativity and uniqueness too, that nobody else’s has. Car Magazines wants to show customized parts to the world and people will want to buy the magazines to read and to check out the new parts.
4. BRIGHT COLOURS:
Car magazines love BRIGHT colored car, so if your modified car is of that, you have a point ahead of other car owners. You may have noticed this in all other front cover of magazines too. So if you plan to repaint your car, catch attention and make it to the cover, choose bright! (important note: choose a bright color that you are comfortable with!)
5. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL Car MAGAZINES:
Well you need give a hint to the magazines that you have a unique car to feature. Find the best magazine that suit your car theme or make and contact them. If your car is modified by a tuner, you may want to ask your tuner to call the Car Magazines as they will have direct contacts to the editors.
If you have a special unique car, many car magazines are more than willing to feature it. Just think of it this way, Car magazines need cars to feature in their magazines in every issue! (At least five feature cars per month). Where are they going to get hold of these special cars? If you have one and feel like getting it featured, take some good photos now and email them. You need to inform Car magazine publishers and let them know of the existence of your special Car. Good Luck!
