The New Ford MUstang
Mustang’s History
If you had to choose a car that best represents classic America, it has got to be the Ford Mustang. The popularity of this car has remained over the years. Produced out of the necessity to say with their rival company’s auto models and to enhance poor sales, the Mustang’s success is caused by the perfect mix of promoting brilliance, inspiring entrepreneurship and media savvy.
The Concept of the Ford Mustang
In year 1964, Ford Motor Company underwent a major downswing. Even though their Falcon model was selling well in the past years, their rival company Chevrolet faired better in sales after the development of their Corvair Monza model. Naturally, Ford wished to answer back to style and personality, the important features of Chevy’s model.
Lee Iacocca then stepped up and presented an idea to supply an auto that can be changed by people. His first concept was confounded but in the long run, he was in a position to talk to the management. Next thing he knows, his design was being constructed. In order for Ford to reduce the expenses, the Ford Mustang made use of different parts that were originally intended for other models, most particularly the drive train that may be found in the Falcon and Fairlane. This came in two-seater models – the convertible and coupe.
The Ford Campaign
The launch of the Ford Mustang included detailed campaigns. They publicly released the car on April 7, 1964 at NY World’s Fair. 2 days after the launch, the automobile was promoted on the 3 television networks in America. The campaign for the Mustang is literally one of the most successful releases in the history of America, having sold more than one million Ford Mustang units in its first one and a half year on the auto industry market. In this time, the Mustang was upgraded to a four-seater.
One of the most vital selling pieces of the Ford Mustang is that it is just built to order. This suggests that potential buyers had a lengthy list of choices that they could add to their car according to their preference. A number of these options include hi-performance engine, power train combos, power steering and air conditioning. This was the first ever car to incorporate such many options for buyers and this technique is surely useful to both dealer and manufacturer.

Classic Trailer
When I first decided on making a website of Vintage Travel Trailers for Sale, I thought, “Who in the world would be looking for old travel trailers”. And much to my surprise, there are quite a few people still interested in the classic {travel} trailers.
Thinking and remembering those days of 1965, camping and going to the travel shows, were great memories. Oh what a great life we had back then, huh? After retiring from the military, my Father found old friends that he had known in the past. His name was Red Martin, just in case anyone remembers him. His wife was Maggie and their son was Butch. Also, Jim and Laverne Weis were great fun to be around and also involved with Kenskill travel trailers. So, continuing on with the memories. We moved from Orange, Ca. to Granada Hills, Ca. There my Dad, Mom and myself nestled into our new life of being civilians. We relocated to that area to be closer to where my Dad worked at Kenskill Travel Trailers.Dad presented many of the new travel-trailers during many of the shows.Remembering a show that I went to with my parents was really memorable. It was at Dodger’s Stadium in the large parking lot with all of the new travel trailers and some old vintage travel trailers from the 1940’s. We were like one big family during that time in the travel trailer business. Most of the time, my Dad would be whistling the song “Trailers for Sale or Rent”. Great times were in abundance! In order for all of us to definitely keep our thoughts about classic travel trailers and how they used to be, this internet page will be around forever.
The classic trailers at that time were more of the long long trailer and Kenskill was at the height of making the 18’ classic enclosed trailer for smaller families to be able to go camping for the weekend. Kenskill was a big name in the 1960’s in California.A much cherished travel family treasured by all. The travel trailer supplies and equipment were top of the line for those days.To be honest, the silver bullet travel trailer was one of our greatest opponents. The Kenskill Company only turned out high-quality trailers and their supply stocks were plentiful. Sadly, the vintage camping trailers are all but a few. You might be able to at least see one if you are lucky enough to get to a big trailer tradeshow in a large city.Puchasing one would be like heaven, and just seeing one up close is fascinating. I guess if I really added up the years, you could call them antique travel trailers now. But I won’t, because that will make me feel too old!
Let’s not forget the classic airstream trailers. They are also a true work of art with their curved wood panels in the interior to the flashy silver streak trailers on the outside. A used Airstream classic travel trailer is a legend in the truest sense of classic travel trailers.People that know the Airstream travel trailers continue to follow them through different clubs. You can always find trailer supplies through catalogs to spruce yours up, if you are lucky enough to have one.
Let me add a couple more words on buying these classic travel while I can.Going on the internet will give you many sources for getting your supply of trailer replenishments. I almost forgot to mention two more classic trailers. They are the vintage tag-a-long camper and the 1951 vintage vagabond trailer. Both were wonderful in the days of slow living, long weekends and lots of family time traveling around in the classic trailers of the day.
Thanks for reading my article on Vintage Travel Trailers and maybe having some of your memories take you back to those great times.Just a minutes, I’m sure I am listening to someone singing “King of the Road”!
To fond memories of vintage travel trailers for sale!
