Working with hi-tech carbon fiber and other lightweight materials, they managed to shave off 220 pounds from the standard Murcielago model. With the same composite construction as a race car, and the recalculated framework using new materials, they were able to reduce the weight by 72.6 pounds in the chassis and exterior, 78.8 pounds in the interior and 72.6 from the engine and drive train.
