Which of these three is best suited for desert travel?

Which of these cars do you believe to be the best suited to driving across the desert. People always argue about which cars are the best for what environment, but when you think about it, one of these three is the best. I have supplied here three categories of cars that are great for this, you just need to decide on which of type in this category is best suited to these conditions.

This is the Dune Buggy. This does sound like the obvious answer, and the clearest, but there are many types, and two other competing categories. Most of these cars are custom built, they have smallish engines, if you use one to large, it is hard to control. The Dune buggy is great for crossing harsh terrain like this at high speeds. This is a small and malleable car, easy to fix and very fast and lightweight, it has a lot of endurance.

Bring on the always loved SUV. The family aspect has really started to bring this car down, now it is more of a family car, no longer a good off road-er. So becuase of this family transformation, they have been messed up a little, but they are a 4×4 car, so they can probably still perform quite well. This car does have a couple of perks, one is being shielded from the harsh sands, the second is that you can carry more luggage, and people. Everything else goes the Dune Buggy’s way, including suspension and speed.

This is the king, but our master has his flaws. The Big the one and only Monster Truck, the ultimate ATV. These cars are mainly built at home, with a pick up, or maybe in a specialist garage. The suspension and power of these cars is usually unmatched and can travel across or through pretty much everything. There is one main problem, and that has got to be fuel consumption. Make sure that there is plenty of petrol or diesel on board, otherwise your in trouble.

So which of these is the top one to travel around on Egypt holidays, you may want use one for Maldives holidays, but only if it can float.

2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. Off Road Trucking at Its Finest

When Ford unveiled the F-150 SVT Raptor, reviewers were skeptical about the truck’s potential as an off-road vehicle. However, this revolutionary vehicle literally knocked their socks off. For a street-legal 6000-pound vehicle its a pleasant surprise that the Raptor reaches 100 mph even when off-roading. cars for sale in cape town

Excellent Suspension

While there is really no comparison between the regular F-150 and the Raptor, what really sets this truck apart from its predecessors and competition is the new suspension system. A Raptor is in very simple terms a wider stock F-150 with specialised suspension. The three-stage, internal-bypass shocks are by Fox Racing. advertise car for free

Off Road Capabilities

The newly designed suspension system combined with the truck’s upgraded drive train and electronic features make the Raptor perfect for off-road driving. On a regular road, the Raptor handles similarly to the regular F-150. However, take the truck off road and you will barely feel the difference. The suspension keeps the truck’s ride smooth and comfortable, even when navigating difficult terrain at high speeds.

In fact, some drivers feel the truck performs better off-road than on the road. The steering is accurate and the ride is smooth, even on rough terrain. The large tread on the 35-inch BFGoodrich tires gives the truck good grip on soft ground, and it rarely bottoms out, even on rugged ground and at high speeds. Simply press the off-road button and take the truck out on the sand. mazda 3 for sale

Huge Cosmetic Changes

The raptor looks like an off-road vehicle. Visually the headlights are the only item that looks similar in both cars. Other than that, everything from the hood to the tailgate has been redesigned. A new paint scheme and the popular bright orange color speak of the truck’s off-roading design.

Comfortable on the Road as Well

Some off road vehicles are monsters on the road, but the Raptor is not. No that much different from a regular F-150. The only difference the driver is likely to notice is the taller height. This truck is quite comfortable despite looking mean and powerful. There is little road noise and tire roar and a very friendly interior. However, it does feel heavy and underpowered at times, as the F-150 does. Put the car under a lot of g-force then you will notice how it under-steers. Despite is negatives the Raptor is relatively simple to drive in everyday situations.

If you are looking for a comfortable truck for day-to-day driving which can also throw sand in the wilderness then this is the car.

The 2004 Buick Rendezvous has many improvements over the 2002 edition. How much would you expect to spend on a luxury crossover SUV? What if it was fully loaded? If I told you less than $45,000, would you be surprised.

Many owners state that the comfort level and driving of the Rendezvous is far superior to other vehicles in the same class.  There is plenty of head room for those who are tall.  The ride is smooth, and comparable to a car rather than an SUV.  The vehicle is quite sound proof and most road noise is completely silenced.  The chairs are fully adjustable, including up and down, and due to the large mirrors, if the chairs are properly set, most blind spots are eliminated.  The Rendezvous seats 7 adults comfortably.

The vehicle is also very stylish, with beautiful lines, and has a very clean look.  The inside is designed beautifully, and is esthetically pleasing. The lines are smooth, and there is certain elegance about it.  The designers also took into consideration the functionality of the design.  The doors are wide enough for people to easily get in and out, as well as easily be able to place large packages and items into the vehicle.

The cargo space is second to none, especially when the back seats are folded down.Every inch of available space is utilized, and there are storage compartments everywhere you look.   There are plenty of storage compartments throughout the vehicle.  In the front, there is a center console that locks.  The console is large enough that you can place a laptop on the top of it easily.

As already stated, the Rendezvous drives much like a car.  It is easy to drive, and provides a clear view of the road due to its height.  Surprisingly enough, it is also a very easy vehicle to park as the design and size of the vehicle prevents this from being a difficult task.  In both rain and snow, it handles beautifully.  One more important feature is that it has excellent fuel efficiency for this type of vehicle.

The options that are available make this already wonderful machine a true luxury automobile.  The stereo is high quality, and is equipped with XM Satellite Radio.  If you haven’t experienced this particular feature, it is something that is a wonderful option.  Also available is a rear seat DVD system for the kids.  You can also be equipped with On Star, which is an invaluable feature in the event of an emergency.  The dashboard is cleverly designed, and the gauges are very easy to read.  You also can have the option of heads up display.HUD projects information to the driver right on the windshield, so the driver can still pay attention to the road, while monitoring speed and other important gauges.

The 2004 Buick Rendezvous is an affordable, luxury crossover.  It has both functionality and style.  The options that you can add make this vehicle truly a dream to drive.  Resale values of the 2004 Buick Rendezvous can bring you up to $18,000, which for a six year old vehicle is excellent.  It is not only a pleasure to drive, but a smart investment.

2004 Buick Rendezvous

The Buick Rendezvous combines aspects of Sport Utility Vehicles, minivans and wagons.  It has crossed over all the lines that had previously separated sedans, minivans and SUVs, thus defying categorization.

Rendezvous is a versatile vehicle seating five to seven passengers.  It shares a basic structure with the Pontiac Aztek, but is longer to allow third row seating and this makes the vehicle roomy and very comfortable.  The seating set-up depends on how you choose to fold and configure it.  It depends upon the cargo you are bringing or the number of people you need to carry, either way you are assured of more than enough space.

The car comes with a 3.4 liter V6 engine and has a horsepower of 185 at 5200 rpm and 210 pounds of foot torque at 4000 rpm, enough to handle anything you might throw at it.

It also comes with a four speed automatic transmission and either front wheel drive or all wheel drive, which ever you choose.  However, the four-wheel or all wheel drive will cost you extra.

The 04 buick rendezvous is offered in five trim levels: CX, CX Plus, CXL, CXL PLUS and Ultra, with Ultra being the highest class and CX the lower class of the five.Standard features in Ultra but not found on the other Rendezvous models are rear-obstacle detection, satellite radio and head-up instrument display, but these can be had as an optional feature for other models.  Nearly, all of the features that come with Ultra are available as stand-alone options such as Ultra’s more powerful engine, anti-lock brakes, side-impact airbags and traction control.  These are all for your safety benefit.

You can also add a DVD entertainment or the multi-media navigation system, provided that you have at least a Rendezvous CXL.  They also offer a towing package which if your Rendezvous is properly equipped, can tow 3,500 pounds.  The towing package includes a high output alternator, transmission of oil cooler, heavy duty engine cooling and automatic load leveling.

The Buick Rendezvous rides more smoothly and offers more responsive handling than a SUV and was quiet for an SUV but a little noisy if compared to luxury sedan standards.  The Rendezvous also handles surprisingly well even in treacherous conditions, such as sandy and rocky arroyos, when equipped with an all-wheel drive.Versatrak is the name of Rendezvous’ four wheel drive which is clever enough to turn on by itself when it feels that traction aid is considered necessary.

If you are on a budget and still looking for a really nice ride, then you can never go wrong with the 2004 Buick Rendezvous!

Auto Repair Yourself

An automotive repair manual, some cash, some time and some basic automotive tools, you can do lots of wonder. A lot of people take it for granted that you have to have all of your auto repair done by professionals, but this is not the case. Usualy it is simple to do, but it also depends on the model of the car and also the nature of the problem. Often, a simple shortcut can help save you tonnes of money. Take for example, I used to have a very old and clunky Voyager that are rusty and bad air condition unit. The coolant all leak out and they told me that it cost hundreds to repair. Instead, I use a clamp from a normal hardware store to cut off the rear air-conditioning unit. Solving the problem took me less than an hour and less than a dollar!

Nevertheless, for more serious problems, auto repair is definitely a must. I do have friends that repair their own car, but be sure you know what you are doing if you going to follow suit. Today’s cars are more sophisticated and complex than ever, and it takes a quality automotive technician to really diagnose and fix the problem. Don’t get me wrong – if you have someone there to help you who knows what they are doing, you can probably get enough help to work your way through. However, if you do have some slight unsure of the whole thing, leave it to the professional.

The best option is to let the professional helps you diagnose the problem, and you go and repair it yourself. The primary danger when it comes to reparing your own auto is that you may not know what is the real problem. The non professional tends to jump into conclusion and miss out the whole issue. This can create havoc, and you will stand to loose more money if you do not hire a professional. Doing it yourself after the mechanic tells you the problem can still help save lots of money. It does not make send for all, but it does for some.
